As a candidate for Mayor of Fort Worth and a real estate professional, I know all too well the ineffectiveness of our current property tax solution. I see firsthand, as I work with residents to find homes, the high property tax rate that is nearly 3% of market value and the burden it places on our community. The average Fort Worth homeowner pays around $10,000 yearly in property taxes, making it one of the highest rates in the country. I am committed to addressing this issue head-on and finding solutions that lower the burden for our residents. I will work with the city council and local leaders to create a fairer and more sustainable tax system, one that promotes affordability, economic growth, and stability in Fort Worth. I will fight for lower property taxes without sacrificing our city’s future and ensure that seniors and low-income families are protected. It is time for a change and I am ready to lead that change as the next Mayor of Fort Worth.
Affordable Housing
My mission is to address the pressing issue of affordable housing in Fort Worth, where too many millennials are being forced to move back home due to the housing affordability crisis. The average age of Fort Worth residents is 34. This generation, that should be building and contributing to the economy, is facing unprecedented financial strain and struggling to achieve stable housing. We believe that access to affordable and safe housing is a fundamental right and key to promoting economic mobility and independence. Our goal is to create accessible housing opportunities that empower this generation to thrive and succeed, both personally and financially.
Entrepreneurship
Our mission is to facilitate the growth of small businesses in Fort Worth, Texas by reducing regulations and streamlining the startup process. We recognize the critical role that small businesses play in driving economic growth, creating job opportunities, and enriching the local community. We are committed to removing barriers and simplifying the process for entrepreneurs to bring their ideas to life. By reducing red tape and cutting down on bureaucratic obstacles, we aim to create a supportive environment that nurtures small business growth and innovation. With a focus on cutting down on unnecessary regulations and bureaucracy, we will help to build a thriving and resilient small business community in Fort Worth.
