My name is Jennifer Castillo and I am on a mission to serve my community as the next Mayor of Fort Worth. I am humbled to be the first Latina Mayoral Candidate in the history of Fort Worth. I want you to know that this journey is personal to me. As a mother of three beautiful children and a woman in business, I know single-handedly the struggles of raising a family while running a business in an unpredictable economic climate.
I have been in the real estate industry for the last fifteen years and I have a diverse business background. I am a local entrepreneur and run a real estate business and mortgage brokerage based in downtown Fort Worth. I have financed commercial and residential projects, branded businesses and coached entrepreneurs on strategy and marketing. My experience in the industry has taught me the importance of hard work, perseverance, and dedication, which I will bring to my role as Mayor.
My passion for serving my community goes beyond business. As an Air Force Veteran, I worked as an Arabic Linguist at the National Security Agency on behalf of the United States Air Force. I earned a Bachelor’s of Business Management from Pepperdine University and graduated Cum Laude while studying corporate strategy and good business practices, with an emphasis on technology and innovation.
My military experience consists of five years in the intelligence field where I held a top secret clearance. I spent two years at the Defense Language Institute learning the Arabic language and earning an Associate of Arts in Arabic. I worked at the National Security Agency located at the Fort Gordon Army Base in Augusta, GA. I spent my last year at the NSA obtaining a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
As a mother, I have a vested interest in creating a prosperous city in which my children can thrive. As a military veteran, my passion and commitment to my community makes me the perfect candidate to stand up for those who cannot speak for themselves. My entrepreneurial skillset enables me to ability to implement proven methodologies and strategies that enact real and quantifiable change while maintaining the highest ethical standards. As your Mayor, I will take a stand for my city by putting people over politics and give the voice back to the people, create wealth opportunities for small businesses and empower a community of leaders that will change their industry and change the world.
